There are some programs, such as Mvelopes, that try to use an envelope budgeting system; however, these programs are hardly worth your time or money. The fact is that envelope budgeting was designed to be done with actual envelopes, not a computer program. When you get a program like Mvelopes involved, all it does is make your budgeting system more complicated that it needs to be. Do yourself a favor and don’t mess around with these computer programs. Envelope budgeting is better done off line.
