Understand Your Roots
Each year we mark our calendar with the important dates of Easter. Palm Sunday, Ash Wednesday, and Maundy Thursday all lead up to the pinnacle of the Lenten season for our family. Commemorating each of these special dates helps to remind us of why we celebrate this important time of year. The fun of the Easter bunny, egg hunts, and candy filled baskets are all great, but we also want our children to grow up knowing the meaning behind all of these important days. It is the root of our family history and will help them to know where they came from. They will grow up knowing their roots and that will help them to one day find their wings.
