Gain exposure to foreign markets with an International Equity Fund
In the current turbulent economic times I am concerned about my local stock holdings. The recent stock market action and economic news suggests that we are entering a recession. I have cut back on many of my domestic stock holdings and have focused my attention on other markets that offer potential opportunities and are not so exposed to the US economy. I have discovered that I can purchase an international equity fund via the exchange traded products that are offered through the US markets. The concentration of these funds holdings are on companies that have business outside the US. Some of these companies pay strong dividends which I consider to be an ideal strategy in times when the economy is experiencing a slow down.
